Project Description

Essex Wildlife Trust has 11 visitor centres situated across Essex. Our visitor centres are vital to the Trust's work in engaging and educating people on nature conservation and raising money to help fund our work.

Ideally volunteering for one four hour shift on at least a monthly basis you will:
• Welcome people to the visitor centre
• Assist in the café; taking orders, preparing and serving food and clearing tables.
• Assist in the retail units when needed, helping restock, tidying and selling goods.

Absolutely no wildlife knowledge is required but enthusiasm is essential, all the volunteering you do in the centre will help contribute to our on the ground conservation work.

We offer training; which may include food hygiene, wildlife courses and first aid depending on the role. We also offer logo uniform, travel expenses and the chance to work with a friendly and professional team of volunteers and staff.

Our teams of staff and volunteers are friendly and keen to work with others, this will be a great chance to meet new people.
