Project Description
You will be our eyes and ears on the ground and your role will contribute towards the Woodland Trust’s strategy of protecting, restoring and creating woods and trees for the benefit of people and wildlife across the UK.
Cabin Wood is a river-edged tranquil woodland and was once part of the Killymoon Castle estate. Follow its circular stone path through the mix of ancient woodland and newer planting and you’ll find stunning wildflower displays in spring, spectacular views of the castle and countryside, abundant wildlife, and rich autumn colour – and it’s all just one kilometre from town.
You will have an understanding of the needs of the public and native wildlife, a genuine interest in conservation and woodlands and a reasonable degree of physical fitness.
