Project Description
We are inviting 5 people to make a bigger commitment than our usual 1 day volunteer slots by joining “Team Communicate”. In return, participants will receive meaningful training in skills that are vital to working within the environmental sector, along with networking opportunities to some of the best known national and regional environmental organisations.
As a member of Team Communicate, you will receive training and support from the Natural History Consortium team and our partner organisations, as well as:
- The opportunity to up skill and gain leadership experience during a large citizen science project (City Nature Challenge) and the UK’s largest free celebration of the natural world (Festival of Nature).
- Be part of a free comprehensive training scheme including certifications in first aid and safeguarding for your CV.
- The chance to help shape and be part of Communicate conference 2019, including networking opportunities with local and national environmental organisations. Details of the conference can be found at www.communicatenow.org.uk
