As a residential volunteer you will live at the beautiful Arne reserve alongside our two residential volunteer warden. You'll gain valuable work experience, develop new skills and learn how one of Europe's largest conservation charities is run. Project Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Residential Volunteer to undertake a Visitor Experience role for 6 months based at RSPB Arne reserve near Wareham in Dorset. You will assist in the day-to-day running of the visitor operation at our Dorset reserves including Arne and Radipole Lake. You will help connect our visitors with the amazing wildlife found on our reserves and take on projects you will lead yourself to ensure the public have a great experience with the RSPB. You will be involved in events and activities, visitor welcome, social media and publicity.
The skills you need
You need to be over 18 years old and have:
Excellent people and communication skills
Approachable personality
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
Enthusiasm for wildlife & conservation (specialist knowledge not required)
Full clean driving licence
Ability to use Microsoft Office.
