Wildwood Escot Wetland ProjectProject Summary
Starting this September the Wetlands at Wildwood Escot is going to be undergoing a drastic redevelopment. Over the past few years it has become overgrown and rather unruly! Our aim is to restore the area to its brilliant former habitat, there by increasing biodiversity of the flora and fauna.

Project Description
Wildwood Trust has at its heart a unique charitable vision to help restore our areas of wildlife and recreate the true wild wood. Our educational programmes give future generations a true appreciation of the beauty of the natural world around them.
We recognise this is going to be a mammoth undertaking therefore we are asking for people to volunteer their time for a really worthwhile project. If this sounds like something you would be interested in please contact us.
This project will require weather appropriate clothing and hard wearing shoes. Tasks will include:
- Clearing paths
- Controlling the flora
- Managing and restoring the water systems
- Repairing the bridges
There will be opportunities for surveying the biodiversity in the area and small mammal surveying such Harvest Mice.
