The heathlands at Arne Nature Reserve are home to many rare and wonderful species, including all six UK reptiles, nightjars and the ladybird spider. To maintain and improve the biodiversity found here were manage the heathlands using a range of techniques, including cutting, grazing and removing invasive species.
This December we're asking for your help to maintain this special habitat by removing small pine trees that grow across the heathland. You can even take them home for your christmas tree!
We'll provide all the tools so just bring yourself, family, friends and some food and drink. You don't need to stay for the whole day, just drop by when you can.
