COOMBE HOLE HEDGE PLANTING

A hidden fortress in Dover with a rich military history. Help look after the fort and surrounding Land Trust chalk grassland by scrub clearing, path clearing and more. Final day planting the new hedge in Coombe Hole of the whips provided by the Woodland Trust. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU Bring plenty to drink and lunch if you intend to stay all day. We usually provide water, squash, tea and biscuits. We provide an experienced leader, training and supervision, tools and gloves, but please bring your own gear if you prefer.

WHAT YOU SHOULD WEAR • Sturdy boots or safety shoes (not trainers) with good grip and thick soles • Old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or torn • Long sleeved shirts and trousers to protect your limbs • Waterproofs/ wellies if rain forecast.
