A sand dune system and Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is home to a unique range of flora and fauna including sea holly and sand catchfly. Volunteer tasks on this site include controlling invasive species such as red valerian and clearing areas of sea buckthorn scrub.

Project Description
10:00am until 15:00pm on the following dates:
19 November, 10 December 2019, 5 January, 18 February, 3 and 17 March 2020
LEADER: Steff D’Agorne, Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership (07864 608825). MEET: Jolly Fisherman public car park, The Parade, Greatstone, Kent, TN28 8ST. All volunteers will be given a free parking pass for the duration of the event.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU Bring plenty to drink and lunch if you intend to stay all day. We usually provide water, squash, tea and biscuits. We provide an experienced leader, training and supervision, tools and gloves, but please bring your own gear if you prefer.
WHAT YOU SHOULD WEAR • Sturdy boots or safety shoes (not trainers) with good grip and thick soles • Old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or torn • Long sleeved shirts and trousers to protect your limbs • Waterproofs/wellies if rain forecast.
