Project Description
We are looking for two residential volunteer rangers at Durlston National Nature Reserve.
Conservation role to include assistance to volunteer groups and practical tasks enhancing heritage, accessibility and habitats. Including dry stone walling, path maintenance, tool maintenance, stone conservation, wildlife surveys and more.
Community role involves public engagement, events, surveys, interpretation, and assisting at our community work-base with woodworking, gardening, crafts, and DIY projects. Including working with children, adults with disabilities, people with dementia and more.
Ideal for candidates looking to gain experience and skills to develop a career in conservation. Must be enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about conservation; Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 5 days per week. Flexible start and end dates across three placements:
22/04/20-16/05/20 (3 weeks)
22/05/20-07/06/20 (2 weeks)
27/07/20-07/09/20 (6 weeks)
